Top entries will be selected as finalists and given guidance to develop their idea into a full scale business plan. Finalists will present their plan to a panel of judges, in a Dragon’s Den inspired format.

THE RULES

Eligibility

All idea entries must have a technology, science, or knowledge based focus.

The content is open to individuals under the age of 35 who are in their final year of enrollment in a post-secondary institution or who have graduated within the past year from a post- secondary institution. If chosen as the winner the individual must be willing to reside in the Red Deer Region.

Timelines

Submission must be entered no later than 4:00 pm on January 29th, 2012. Selected candidates to write a full business plan will be notified by (TBA). Selected Candidates must submit business plans by (TBA) - Winner will be notified by (TBA)

Selected Winner

  • Winner of the RED Challenge will receive a $20,000 grant to jump start their business.
  • Office space in the Red Deer College for up to a one year
  • Mentoring and support to give you the knowledge and skills to supercharge your business.
